Drew Barrymore, what a babe

Drew Barrymore is an understated style icon

Flawless and effortless 90's grunge

Love her

Kimonos

I will always remember how much I loved twirling around in my neighbours authentic Kimono as a child, I think its about time I incorporate one (at least) into my wardrobe

I want to find some floral silk, with a delicate but bold pattern to make this beauty

Dress Tutorials

Once again I will be looking towards Cotton and Curls for help,  If you would like to skip my chat and go straight there, heres the Link

Dress Ideas

These are a few dresses I've found on Pinterest that I want to create the patterns for

Boho Sling Bag

I've been using my green sling bag for years and has finally succumb to wear and tear

I think it's time for a new one with some more crazy fabrics

Sweet Skirts

I'm so excited to make myself some foral lightweight skirts

I love loose circle skirts, however I haven't come across any that uses beautiful fabric

Thread shopping will commence shortly

My utmost favourite skirt has to be the Tulle Skirt - Mine shall be green

Cotton and Curls - Tulle Skirt

I think I might re-blogging a lot from this lady
She's a sewing and pattern making goddess, effortlessly beautiful and has created a huge variety of tutorials. All whilst juggling a little one.

Cheeky Shorts

Despite being 23, I have always dressed considerably conservative throughout my life.

Saying that, i've noticed that the majority of women between 18-30 seems to be jumping on the short shorts band wagon, I've decided to join in.

After all, these legs and bum are not going to look like this forever.

However, since all shops seem to charge £20+ for one pair of these bum skimmers, I've decided I shall make my own. At least then I have the option of making them longer...

Crop Tops

This lovely lady has made an easy to follow tutorial on how to make a Crop top, something I'm very keen on cracking this summer.

Using a tight tee, cut the bottom half(ish) into strings, plait and viola a string crop top is born!

Also love the idea of adding lace over the top or sowing a strip of beads across the bottom edge, to hang down over the naval

Or maybe, if you're a fellow greebo you'll prefer the above

I certainly do

New Ideas, New Expression

Since I have returned to the world of the living, my creative flare has been shooting sparks. I've started painting and sketching again, and the constant itch to get on a piano and let my emotions flow is consuming.

However due to the teeny tiny flat I currently reside in, I haven't got the room for a decent sized table, which would allow me to use a keyboard or create threads with my newly acquired 1960's Singer Sowing Machine.

So until I am able to move, I'm going to create a collection of threads I intend to make, things that inspire me or simply fabric I want to use.
